Hernando County Taxpayers Alliance
The Alliance is a group of taxpayers who are frustrated because those representing us at the local, state and federal levels on the most part, don't work for us. We need to replace those who are working to improve their own positions with people who are interested in working for us.
Locally we see first hand that government departments are cooperatively empowering government while sticking it to the taxpayer.

3/27/07 - Commissioners vote unanimously to sell Brooksville Hospital for only $1.1 Million:
Rose Rocco, David Russell, Jeff Stabins, Diane Rowden and Chris Kingsley: All Yes
3/2008 - Rose Rocco (Board of County Commission) as a member of the Water Board voted to create a new office and staff called the Withlachoocee Regional Water Supply Authority. The top job in this authority starts at $100k per year. The creation of the position/office was suggested by Jack Sullivan and filled by the same. Many argue that the creation of this office generates another level of government and mimics the work already done by Swiftmud.
